August 15th - Textile Workshop - Linda Rose, founder of Hedgeley Design

On Saturday 15th August, Pelaw Community Bowling Club was delighted to welcome local textile artist and entrepreneur Linda Rose, founder of Hedgeley Designs, for our first community design workshop. The response from our members and neighbours was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many people engaging with creative textile art.

Its our Picnic on the Bowling Green on Saturday 8th August from 3pm - 5pm and we will be entertained by the excellent Felling Brass band.

For the third year, we are pleased to offer, with Gateshead Council, a family afternoon of fun bowling. For the smaller children we have colourful hoops loops and targets to aim at.

Simply wear trainers or flat soled shoes, we provide everything else.

Refreshments and food will be available, free of charge.

Rink 6 , under the trees  has had seed and sand applied.

Please do not use.

This will mean all Tuesday and Thursdaygames will be played in the same directionas Monday and Wednesday games until further notice.

Also the complete green ishaving a treatment applied Thursday 21st may 2026, this will mean the green is not in use until Saturday 23rd May 2026

We will be hosting our Pelaw Open Triples event on Saturday 1st  August. Why not come along and watch competitive bowling with different clubs in the area participating. Th ere will be raffles, stalls and refreshments available on the day.
