As with any community funded business we are heavily reliant on funding from various organisations. Our Funders wall of fame highlights those that have supported us on our journey towards becoming a succesful community bowling club.

We have maded our Funders Wall of Fame totally interactive , users of the website are now able to click on the logo of any of our Funders and link to their websites to gain more insight in to their organisation and the help they offer to community ventures. This is also , in just a small way to repay the support they have shown us by giving their particular organisations exposure to the wider community 

The Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by National Lottery players to support charities and community projects across the UK and we welcome their continued support

Gateshead Council

The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) is a government-funded scheme that runs from 1 April 2026 until 31 March 2029. The scheme will focus support and funding on services that help people and communities become more financially stable. 

Sir James Knott Trust

At the Sir James Knott Trust we support charitable activity in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Hartlepool, by making grants to organisations. Our aim is to help improve the conditions of people living and working in the North East of England.

The Barbour Foundation

In 1988, Dame Margaret Barbour set up The Barbour Trust (now The Barbour Foundation) to support charities and good causes primarily in the North East of England and support research into the causes of chronic illness.

Arnold Clark

The Arnold Clark Community Fund supports thousands of charities and organisations across the UK.

Communities Trust - Suez

Funding is typically awarded for the purchase of materials/equipment and the appointment of a contractor to undertake the improvement work.

Well Newcastle and Gateshead

Well Newcastle Gateshead was one of the pathfinders of Well North, a Public Health England funded initiative to improve the health of the poorest people fastest.

Well Newcastle Gateshead concluded in July 2022, this website is part of its lasting legacy, allowing access to the hundreds of reports, images and videos capturing the 76 projects who benefitted from this funding.
