Community Bowls Events

These competitions provide an opportunity for people of all ages within the community to come together, socialise in a safe and welcoming environment, enjoy some friendly competitive sport, learn a new skill and most importantly have fun.

Annual Pride Bowling Tournement 21st June

We are delighted to be partnering with Pride Media for our 3rd Annual Pride Tournament, one of the highlights of our summer calendar.

Teams representing community groups, businesses and third-sector partners will compete on the green to be crowned Pride Annual Bowling Tournament Champions

. For us, this event is about much more than competition; it is a day filled with laughter, conversation, friendship and goodnatured rivalry. Come along and join us for a fantastic day of fun.

Pelaw Pairs

This is an open competition consisting of teams of two players and is open to everyone,

regardless of age, sex, or ability. If you have never played bowls before, you are very welcome.

Pelaw Community Bowling Club will provide coaching beforehand and lend you the bowls required to take part. All you need to bring is a pair of flat shoes or trainers.

The competition is an all-day event, with registration at 09:15 and the first game starting at 09:30. Each team plays three games, with each game lasting approximately one hour.

The competition is generally held on the first Saturday in July. Refreshments, lunch, a raffle, and a tombola are available throughout the day.

There is a small entry fee per team, with cash prizes awarded to the first three winning teams.

 

 

 

Pelaw Open

This is an open competition for teams of three.

Anyone can enter a team, regardless of age, gender, experience, or whether they are a seasoned bowler or have never played the game before.

The competition is an all-day event, with registration at 09:15 and the first game commencing at 09:30.

Each team will play a total of three games, with each game lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The competition is usually held on the first Saturday in August.

Refreshments, lunch, a raffle and tombola are all available throughout the day. There is a small entry fee per team, with prizes awarded to the top three teams.
